Basic Info
Name:Nick Gant
Birthdate:08-19
Location:Hong Kong
Bio
Background:

Nick is what's known in "Push" universe as a Mover—a telekinetic. He's the son of the most powerful telekinetic in the entire United States and when he was thirteen his father sacrificed himself to the powerful government regulatory agency known only as Division in order to provide Nick with a chance to make it on his own. Always on the run from the Division's Sniffs (those with the ability to track a scent over long distances) and Watchers (clairvoyants), Nick fell into a pattern of grassroots existence in one city after another.

Prior to the start of the film, he's been in Malaysia, Tokyo and most recently Hong Kong, where he is tracked by not only two Division agents searching for a powerful Pusher (ability to create thoughts and illusions) but also a 13 year old Watcher named Cassie whose mother, like Nick's father, was captured by Division due to the extreme nature of her talents.

Armed only with Cassie's notebook of clairvoyant drawings and a few powerful friends (including a man who can make any object appear as something else, a Sniff and a Shadow who can hide the talents of others), Nick and Cassie try to elude both Division and their Chinese equivalents in order to rescue Kira, the "patient zero" for all of Division's attempts to create a supersoldier. While Nick had been content with hustling and making small change with his telekinesis he now knows he can make a difference and does, uniting everyone in an attempt to take down Division's agents and succeeding.

Personality:

Nick is cocky and confident, but this bravado hides a slight insecurity born out of the fact that he's let his talent waste away while on the hide from Division's agents. He is adept at running cons, often working side by side with his Pusher girlfriend Kira to con tourists down at the piers in Hong Kong. In spite of his difficulty trusting others he has a soft spot for those he sees as helpless—Cassie and Kira especially.

As his character develops, his ability to control his telekinesis increases and by the end of the movie he is at his father's level if not higher. Nick uses his telekinesis as an extension of himself and being cut off from it aggravates, frustrates and depresses him.

Appearance:

Nick is about 6'2, dark blond hair and blue eyes. He's well built and speaks fluent Cantonese. I am not the owner of the concepts presented in "Push" and I assume Chris Evans (the PB) owns himself.
